Donald Trump boasts he threatened his “friend” Vladimir Putin by claiming that the US would bomb Moscow if Russia attacked Ukraine

Donald Trump has claimed Russia did not invade Ukraine during his tenure because he threatened to bomb Moscow.

Speaking to golf pro John Daly on Friday, the former Republican president, 75, said he “got on great” with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

“They all say oh he’s a nuclear power, it’s like they’re scared of him,” Trump said in a recording of the phone conversation with Daly. “You know, he was a friend of mine, I got on really well with him. I say, Vladimir, if you do it, we’ll hit Moscow. We will meet Moscow. And he kind of believed me, like 5 percent, 10 percent — that’s all you need.”

“During my time, he never did, John, you know. They were all going like, ‘Why hasn’t he done this in the last four years?’ Because he knew he couldn’t.”

Trump also claimed that Xi Jinping, the President of China, did not mess with him either.

“Xi didn’t bother me either. I told him the same thing, that’s what’s next. You know that’s next. Taiwan will be next,” he said.

“You will not have computer chips. They will blow them off the face of the earth.”

Taiwan dominates semiconductor chip production, producing around 60 percent of the world’s chips.

The Taiwanese fear that Putin’s invasion of Ukraine could trigger a Chinese invasion of their homeland.

Trump was spotted playing golf at his West Palm Beach golf course on Friday along with a number of partners.

Taking to the greens along with the 45th President were Allan Kournikova, the Russian-born half-brother of former professional tennis player Anna Kournikova; Golf coach Eduardo Miquel and Chilean PGA golfers Mito Pereira and Joaquin Miemann.

Trump was also spotted golfing at his club in West Palm Beach last Friday, ahead of him Speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

During that speech, Trump repeatedly claimed that Putin did not invade Ukraine while he was in the White House.

“I’m the only 21st-century president under whose watch Russia hasn’t invaded,” Trump boasted.

“Under Bush, Russia invaded Georgia. Under Obama, Russia conquered Crimea. Under Biden, Russia invaded Ukraine.”

“I have no doubt that Putin made his decision to ruthlessly invade Ukraine after witnessing the pathetic retreat from Afghanistan.”

“I was with Putin a lot, I spent a lot of time with him, I got along with him,” Trump added. “It’s good to get along with people, it’s not a bad thing.”

It comes as:

“It would have been so easy for me to prevent this travesty,” Trump continued. “He understood me, he understood that I wasn’t playing games.”

Trump said in a recent statement: “There should be no war in Ukraine now, and it is terrible for humanity that Biden, NATO and the West failed so terribly to let it begin.”

“Instead of showing strength and tenacity, they declared the Global Warming Hoax the #1 threat to global security, killed American energy independence, and then made Europe, the Uz and the rest of the world dependent on Russian oil.

“They put down the welcome mat and gave Russia the opportunity, now Putin may get everything he wanted while Ukraine and the rest of the world suffer the consequences.”
