Don Jr. texted Mark Meadows to stop the siege of January 6

Follow The Daily Beast, the January 6 committee held a meeting on Monday where Liz Cheney, one of the only Republicans on the team investigating that fateful day, read out some damn texts that were sent in the midst of Trump’s inner circle. That includes numerous Fox News hosts, all begging, begging him to do more to stop the deadly siege of the Capitol.

And there’s Jr., who’s been texting Mark Meadows, who’s been posting a lot lately. “He must condemn this as soon as possible,” said Don Jr. message. “The Capitol Police tweet is not enough.”

“I’m trying to push it. I agree,” Meadows replied.

“We need an Oval Office address,” Jr. write. “He has to go now. It went too far and got out of hand.”

According to Cheney, Jr. texted Meadows “several times.”

Since the events of the day, which led to Trump being booted off from much of social media and ending his single term in disgrace, conservatives have tried to downplay the events of the day. day, even broadcast bonkers conspiracy theory. But apparently the violence that day left everyone, including Trump insiders, confused, even as they pretended to forget it afterward.

The January 6 committee did more than read embarrassing texts from prominent conservatives. They also voted unanimously to keep Meadows, who refused to be questioned by their members, out of contempt for Congress. Maybe he’ll be the unfortunate prisoner sharing a cell with Steve Bannon.
