The “come to work with me” viral TikTok trend has had employees around the world sharing their activities with their viewers, but it ended in disaster for this Domino employee.
What started out as a lip-sync video sharing app has grown into a breeding ground for the biggest trends taking over not just TikTok, but Twitter, Instagram and other social platforms as well.
Of course, these trends don’t always end well for content creators — as seen in a viral April 7 video.
TikToker pretty princess0g shared the news of her new job, working at Domino’s.
TikToker fired after taking her viewers to work at Domino’s
Jumping on the bandwagon of others taking her viewers to work for the day, she decided to show people what it’s like to make a layer in the takeout pizza.
But it didn’t take long for the user to take viewers not only to work, but also home.
In a sensational turn of events, she was fired after reportedly only 15 minutes on the job that day, ending the clip with an annoyed face and sipping her drink in disappointment.
In the comments, one user reacted to her job loss: “You can walk down the street and get another one tomorrow.” Another said, “Same, I couldn’t work on the weekends so they fired me.”
Why was she fired?
According to No-shows in multiple shifts Previously, the TikToker admitted the reason for her employer’s hasty decision: “I’m not coming and I thought I could get away with it.”
A number of other viral videos have surfaced from fast food chains in the United States in the past.
On one occasion, a subway employee was caught placing ingredients on the staff’s toilet seat before serving them, and another showed a rat-infested Popeyes restaurant being closed.
While this TikTok wasn’t that gross, it’s certainly ironic that a “come to work with me” post ended like this.
