“Devastated” YouTuber breaks down in video over the death of his beloved pug Ellie

“Devastated” YouTuber DanTDM recently broke down in a video over the loss of his pug Ellie. Thousands of fans have expressed their condolences during this difficult time.

Losing a pet can be one of the hardest things in the world. For millions of people around the world, pets are more than just animals – they are valued family members that we rely on to get us through some of the darkest moments of our lives. Dealing with the loss of a dog can be incredibly challenging, as DanTDM discovered after losing his beloved pug Ellie and his wife Jemma Middleton.

DanTDM “devastated” by the loss of Ellie the pug

On Twitter, DanTDM recently said goodbye to Ellie, his pug of ten years.

“I am so devastated…” he wrote on September 6th. “Today we unexpectedly lost our little Ellie. Without them our home feels so strange. She has been with us all the time for the last almost 10 years and I will never forget her. “Hopefully I’ll see you again someday, bear.”

The post was viewed over 3.4 million times and thousands of people expressed their condolences to Dan.

“I’m so sorry, pets are everything – sending you and the family love,” one person wrote.

“We are so incredibly sorry,” wrote another.

“This is really hard man, sending love to you both during this difficult time,” wrote another.

Who is Ellie the Pug? YouTuber releases emotional video explaining tragic events

Following the Twitter update, DanTDM released a YouTube video on September 7 titled, “Goodbye Ellie.”

Dan was visibly emotional from the start, holding back tears as he explained that Ellie had died the day before. Dan wiped away tears and did his best to keep fans updated on the situation.

He explained that he had had Ellie since she was a puppy and that she was just a month away from turning 10. He said death was painful as Ellie went to the vet with an infected tooth/gum which meant she needed surgery.

Unfortunately, she did not wake up from the operation.

Dan then admitted that he wasn’t going to release a video, but knew he had to so he could cry more and cope.

He said he believes many of his fans will feel like they know Ellie as she has appeared in countless vlogs of his. A vlog titled “MEET ELLIE THE PUG!” was uploaded to his channel nine years ago and she has appeared in other videos such as “ELLIE THE PUG REACTS.”

Ellie has also been a part of Dan’s live shows and has been part of his journey so far.

He added that she felt like a member of his family and that his “heart literally hurts.” He came to the conclusion that he had already planned how they would pick her up before he received the phone call telling her what had happened to her.

“I miss her already,” he says. “She is no longer here and I am really sad. Very sad.”
