Deputy Neil Adams: Today’s procession for the San Jacinto Precinct 1 deputy shot dead at PlazAmericas in Sharpstown

Procession to District 1 San Jacinto Deputy Superintendent Neil Adams will begin at 8 a.m. His body will be escorted from the medical examiner’s office to Cleveland, Texas, where final preparations will take place. for his funeral this weekend.
Adams, 62, was shot and killed Wednesday while working as part-time security at PlazAmericas.
According to Houston Police Chief, Troy Finner, a suspect identified as 35-year-old Czyz Harrison, obtained the co-pilot’s gun, then shot and killed him. Investigators say that Harrison was shot dead by two HPD officers.
San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers told ABC13 Adams told his wife the security job was too dangerous. The day Adams died was supposed to be his last day doing the job.
Many people were heartbroken when they heard the news of the death of the co-pilot, including a Florida student.
Zechariah Cartledge ran a mile on Sunday with a blue road flag.
“We really hope this run can keep his memory alive, and we hope our organization, and many others, can honor him in our goodbyes. finally for him,” Cartledge said.
An Adams viewing will be held Wednesday at the Coldspring Shelter at 225 Live Oak. Families will be there from 4-5 pm while the public is invited to attend from 5 to 8 pm
Adam’s funeral, with full honor, will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. His burial will be at Montague Cemetery on FM 1725 between Shell Oil Field Road and Meekins Road. Adams will be honored with the Taps level and 21 shots.
