Deputy Juqaim Barthen is returning to full duty after a horrific ambush, Harris County District 4 Police Officer Mark Herman announced

The video shown above is from a previous report.
“It takes a strong, selfless man to return to work after the horrific ambush he and his brothers in blue suffered on the night of October 16,” Herman said.
The incident happened on October 16, 2021 outside of a nightclub in north Houston where Deputy Kareem Atkins was shot. Two other MPs, Darryl Garrett and Barthen, were also wounded.
The 100 Club of Houston announced it has donated $20,000 to Atkin’s widow and his two young children.
Houston police made the announcement just hours after Deputy Barthen left the hospital for an emotional tribute from his colleagues.
Barthen, who injured his leg, received an ovation from his staff, who waited to greet him at Memorial Hermann Hospital.
