Death of Jake McLean: Towie star Lauren Goodger pays tribute to ex-boyfriend after car crash in Turkey

On Sunday (July 3) McLean died at the age of 33 after a car accident in Bodrum, where he was visiting towie Actress Yazmin Oukhellou.

Goodger has since addressed the news of her ex-partner’s death.

In an Instagram story shared on Monday (July 4), she wrote: “RIP Jake. I have no words right now…my thoughts are with your family and friends.”

McLean and Goodger dated from 2012 to 2016.

According to reports from the scene of the accident, McLean was driving a car with Oukhellou as his passenger and lost control of the vehicle. The car then fell off a cliff, a source said The sun on the internet.

Locals at the scene said that although emergency services tried to tend to McLean, they were unable to save him.

Oukhellou is being treated for her injuries at a hospital in Turkey.

Oukhellou had been in an on-off relationship with McLean for at least a year, but the status of their connection at the time of the trip is unknown.

Oukhellou and McLean had previously lived together in Dubai after her relationship with colleague James Lock ended. In January, she announced via a post on Instagram that they had ended their romance.

Fans have paid tribute to McLean and shared messages of support for Oukhellou on their social media accounts.

“Thinking of you, praying for you, concerned sick person, you are so precious”, formerly Big Brother Star Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace wrote under Oukhellou’s latest post.
