Death of Anne Heche: Owner of the actor’s house plunged into shares ‘devastated’ response

The woman in whose house Anne Heche fell has reacted to the news of the actor’s death.

Heche’s family announced on Friday (August 12) that Heche, who was in a coma, suffered a “serious anoxic brain injury” and “did not survive” the accident.

Hours later, they revealed that she was “legally dead under California law” but was kept alive while a match for organ donation was found. Heche’s life support was switched off on Sunday (08/14).

Heche suffered fatal injuries after losing control of her Mini Cooper and driving into a home in Mar Vista, Los Angeles.

The house that was “completely burned” in the crash belonged to Lynne Mishele, who says she was “extremely lucky” to have escaped unscathed with her pets. A GoFundMe donation page was set up by Mishele’s neighbors after it was revealed she had lost a lifetime of belongings to the fire.

Mishele issued a response following news of Heche’s death.

She said: “The news of Anne Heche’s death is devastating. Her family and friends and especially her children have truly suffered a great loss and my heart goes out to them.

“This whole situation is just tragic and there really are no words. Sending love to all involved.”

Heche’s family said in a statement: “We have lost a bright light, kind and very cheerful soul, loving mother and loyal friend. Anne will be greatly missed, but she lives on through her beautiful sons, iconic work and passionate advocacy.
