Dealership on the deaths of Katharine McPhee and David Foster’s nanny

The California dealership where Katharine McPhee and David Foster’s nanny was killed said it was “fully cooperating” with the Los Angeles Police Department and was trying “to learn from this incident so that we can prevent tragedies like this in the future.”
“We extend our deepest condolences to Yadira’s family, friends and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time,” said Megan Maybee, communications director for Hamer Toyota in Mission Hills Us weekly in a statement on Thursday.
“The loss of such a vibrant life in such tragic circumstances is a heavy burden and we share their grief.”
The Post has reached out to the retailer for comment.
Yadira Calito, 55, died after being struck by a Toyota RAV4 driven by an 84-year-old woman on August 9, which crashed into the customer reception area of Hamer Toyota. Calito took care of Rennie, McPhee and Foster’s two-year-old son.

Accordingly the LAPD, the elderly driver hit the gas instead of the brake, reportedly pinning Calito under her vehicle, dragging her 20 feet with her. Calito died in the hospital.
The driver, a Mission Hills resident, was not injured – but she caused non-life-threatening injuries to two male Toyota employees, a 23-year-old and a 35-year-old, according to police.
The driver was not reportedly arrested in connection with Calito’s death.
McPhee, 39, and Foster, 73, announced Friday that this was the case “A Terrible Tragedy” in her family, which prompted the American Idol alumna to leave the couple’s David Foster and Friends tour in Asia.

“Dear Jakarta fans, It is with a heavy heart that I announce that I have to miss our last two shows of our Asian tour,” shared the “Terrified” singer on Instagram.
“David [Foster] and I have witnessed a terrible tragedy in our family and at least one of us needs to go home to our family. Please know how sorry I am and how much I wish to come back and perform for all of you one day. I love Katharine.”
McPhee and Foster married in 2019. They welcomed Rennie February 2021.
