Deadly shooting: 1 dead, several injured in shooting at party at Brazoria County tenement, lawmakers say

At 11:46 p.m. on July 10, deputies said they had responded to multiple calls about a shooting at a large party on the 1500 block of County Road 149.

Upon arrival, deputies found two people with gunshot wounds.

One victim, a 23-year-old man, was transported by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The second victim, a 26-year-old man, was helicoptered to Southeast Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Investigators later learned that two other victims arrived at other nearby hospitals with gunshot wounds. Both victims were treated and released.

MPs believe more than 100 people were present during the shooting.
