DC thieves grab 5-week-old puppy in violent home invasion

A 5-week-old puppy was kidnapped during a violent and heartless home invasion in Washington DC, police officers said.

Three armed puppy thieves stormed the front door of a home in southwest DC around 7 p.m. Thursday evening, the Metropolitan Police Department said.

Once inside, the men pulled out a gun and punched the dog’s owner in the head.

“Get your shit together,” one of the suspects said to the man, WUSA reported.

“You know what time it is,” said another.

The thieves took away 5-week-old Deemo, who is described as a brown American bulldog with gray patches of eczema on his body.

The thieves also stole thousands of dollars worth of property, including two iPhones, two Playstations, a pair of Cartier glasses, diamond earrings and a gold ring.

They also made off with thousands of dollars worth of quality hats, jackets, coats and pants, and two dozen pairs of shoes.

The man suffered only minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital, police said.

The Metropolitan Police provided a photo of a puppy that looks like Deemo.

One of the suspects was caught by a nearby security camera and can be seen wearing a black winter mask and black hoodie with a white Nike Swoosh on the front.
