Jaq discovers that her sister has been using alcohol and takes it upon herself to steer Lauryn back in the right direction and help her overcome the worst of the “baby blues”, which inspires Lauryn to have her baby in honor of her sister, Jack to call .
However, in episode 2, Jaq returns home to find that Lauryn has drowned in the bathroom after passing out from another batch of drugs.
What drug is “Dark” in Top Boy?
Dark is a slang term for heroin.
Heroin is a drug made from morphine, which is obtained from opium poppies, and is one of the world’s most addictive drugs.
Heroin is not only known as dark, but also has numerous colloquial names and is also called smack, junk, horse, skag and brown, among others.
Lauryn’s death inspires Jaq to take action
After Lauryn’s death in Episode 2, Jaq begins to question her own role in the drug trafficking culture at Summerhouse.
Jaq confronts a drug-addicted mother about her addiction and dealing with her own baby.
But when Jaq realizes the destructive power the drugs she sells have on people, she decides to act and sets her sights on Sully, who recently stole a shipment of cocaine from Irish gangsters Jonny and Tadgh McGee.
Jaq steals the drugs himself, and while it’s a noble act, it puts a big target on her back toward the end of season three.
