‘Daniel Levy has done an incredible job’: Glenn Hoddle’s comment on Tottenham transfer will anger fans

Glenn Hoddle says Daniel Levy did an “incredible” job to get the money he made for Harry Kane after joining Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur.
With his contract running for less than 12 months, Tottenham risk losing Harry Kane for nothing in 2024, to another Premier League team.
That’s why Daniel Levy decided to sell the club’s all-time top scorer for £100m just days before the start of the new Premier League season (Sky Sports) on Bayern Munich – Kieran Trippier reacted to his English team-mate’s move.
While seemingly patting Levy on the back for handling the situation, Hoddle conceded the timing for everything was, he said, “too late” for manager Ange Postecoglou Premier League Productions (08/13/23 at 13:05).
In the eyes of Tottenham fans, apart from the man in the dugout, there aren’t many who have judged this deal so positively.
Hoddle had previously stated he didn’t think Richarlison had the quality to replace Kane at the helm and dropped the following comment on Levy, which will not go down well with Spurs fans at all.

“I think at the end of the day Daniel Levy did an incredible job under the circumstances to get the money for Kane,” Hoddle said.
“But again, it’s too late for the manager to involve anyone else.”

Levy’s relationship with Spurs fans has broken down
Tottenham host Manchester United for the first home Premier League game of the new season at the weekend and it will be interesting to see what the mood is like.
There was a lot of anti-Levy and anti-ENIC chanting last season.
While fans love Postecoglou and what he brings to the table, it’s fair to say that even now, the fan’s relationship with Levy is crumbling at a rapid pace.
