‘Danger!’ Host Ken Jennings says he likes pineapple pizza – fans are disgusted

Ken Jennings needs a lead — and according to aficiona-doughs, a new pizza restaurant.
The “Danger!” host found himself in a bit of a mess for declaring his “most controversial take on stage ever” — that pineapple belongs on pizza.
The decadent debacle began when contestant David Stiasny — a pediatrician from Highland Park, Illinois — swarmed for the “A Pineapple” category on Tuesday’s episode.
“A BBC article entitled ‘Pineapple on’ said, ‘It’s food choices that seem to divide the world,'” Jennings read. Stiasny – opposite reigning champion Cris Pannullo and software engineer Etienne Lepine – explained: “What is pizza?”
“Pineapple on pizza, yes. And I can solve the controversy, it’s delicious,” Jennings said of the $200 correct answer, while Stiasny visibly balked at the host’s pie theory.

The official “Danger!” Twitter account Posted a meme of the on-air incident captioned “controversy resolved,” but it stoked the flames of the age-old fruit-on-a-piece debate.
“No, it’s not. Pineapple and ham definitely don’t belong on pizza. Not even in Hawaii,” one said user argued defiantly and stood firm.
“yuck,” Another Simply written.
“KEN IS WRONG! PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA IS SACRILEGIO!” shouted an avid pineapple hater.
“Still the worst recording ever,” another pizza snob I Agree.
“This just arrived: ‘@Jeopardy ratings plummet after @KenJennings advocates the unthinkable,'” quipped one user.

Advocating forbidden fruit isn’t the worst of Jennings’ on-screen crimes, according to die-hard “Jeopardy!” fans.
Perhaps the most egregious mistake was when he allowed a contestant to correct an incorrect answer.
It seemed like Jennings, who shares his hosting duties with Mayim Bialik, would play the favorite and allow the champion to fix his slip but not other players when they made a mistake.

Meanwhile, Jennings, 48, made viewers cringe this summer when he delivered a “painful,” crude joke about circumcision. Then this month he swore after accidentally spoiling an answer.
“I mean, I’d played so many games here that I was like, ‘I have a pretty good sense of what hosting is going to be like,’ and then you realize hosting is even harder because you’re basically doing everything must what the participants do. Plus, you manage the game for them and you manage the game for the home viewer,” Jennings previously admitted to Good Morning America.
Since Alex Trebek passed away two years ago, it seems the show has tragically gone downhill, one slip after another. The show’s producers misspelled a quote from Edgar Allan Poe and recently angered audiences by using Brian Laundrie, who killed his girlfriend Gabby Petito last year, as a prompt.
