A California coroner is investigating the untimely death of Dance Gavin Dance bassist Tim Feerick, 34, an official told the Post on Friday.
The rocker was found dead on Wednesday of unknown causes in a modest apartment complex called “The Retreat” on the east side of the city, according to coroner’s records in Sacramento, California.
Members of the post-hardcore screamo band announced Feerick’s death on social media on Thursday, prompting an outpouring of grief from devoted fans.
A small group of friends and supporters of the band gathered at the town’s Afterburner mural on Thursday night to light candles in Feerick’s honor and blast Dance Gavin Dance tunes through a portable speaker. footage shows.
Others mourned from afar.
“Lighting [a candle] all the way from Scotland tonight. Tim has been a fan of DGD since early 2014 and will forever be my inspiration as a bassist,” one fan wrote on twitter. “Rest in peace Tim.”

Team USA Olympic weightlifter Mattie Rogers mourned the loss of an indie legend whose music incorporated elements of jazz, punk and funk.
“This hurts. RIP Tim and love and comfort to family and friends,” She wrote.
On Thursday, the band announced Feerick’s death on Twitter, writing, “We are absolutely devastated to share the news that our friend and bassist Tim Feerick passed away last night.”
Feerick first joined the band as a touring member in 2009 before officially joining in 2012.
According to their website, the band is set to embark on a 19-date national tour later this month.
