former Be sure to come dance Judge Dame Arlene Phillips has admitted to yelling at Oti Mabuse while working in the West End.
The couple is currently working on The Cher Show. Phillips directs twice Strict Winner Mabuse choreographs the production.
“One day I had to yell at her for being crazy!” Phillips recounts The mirror. “She mimics Cher and we had to get on with the work and I had to say, ‘Okay, enough Oti! You can be Cher another time, but now you have to get back to work.’”
The TV personality added, “I was pretty bossy with her!”
Despite the shouting, Phillips said that “Oti is so easy to work with.”
The duo have previously appeared on ITV Dancing on Icewith Phillips joining Mabuse as a guest judge on the panel.
Earlier this year, Mabuse confirmed that she was retiring Strictwho explains that “it’s never easy to say goodbye”.
However, the dancer has since hinted at the possibility of a return to the program. “No, I’m not done yet,” she said. “It still has a place in my heart.”
The Cher Show tells the story of Cher’s rise to fame. Sunderland performance dates begin in April.
