Put your dad to work for those cheerleaders.
These Utah dads were invited to compete in Cedar High School’s first-ever Cheer Dad Jump Off Competition after daughters’ coaches realized dads were their biggest supporters.
Coach Danielle Lasson and her assistant coach invented the tie-off to get the dads involved and get them off the sidelines.
“It was so much fun to hear how the girls prepared their dads for the competition and some even taught them all the techniques and moves to do a proper jump.” Lasson to USA Today.
The heartwarming video of the ultimate stabbing has now gone viral, collect over a million views on tik tok.
Instead of just doing a few jumps or toe-slips, the trainers actually had the dads do a rally routine — something their daughters do to get the crowds pumping.
Some dads came dressed to impress—pom poms and all—while others brought raw talent.
“A lot [of people] were impressed that most of us could jump so well,” said one of the fathers in the clip Good morning America.
Although Vaughn Cottam, a father of a freshman cheerleader, was crowned the winner, the dads were just excited to take part.
“I knew we would be TikTok famous at some point in our lives,” joked one of the dads.
The TikTok was shared more than 11,000 times and garnered over 253,000 likes, while users voted for their favorite cheerleader in the comments.
“White Shirt didn’t come to compete, he came to win,” one person quipped.
“White shirt and black dress pants trained his whole life for this moment,” wrote another.
