Dad said that the courier Hermes ran over the guitar he bought for his daughter but still delivered it

A DAD said a Hermes courier ran over the guitar he bought for his daughter but still delivered it.
Jason Foster, 53, was furious when it arrived with tire marks on the box.
Jason, who booked it for his daughter Chloe’s 16th birthday, believes the driver knew he would refuse to take it so he left it to a neighbour.
The £79 guitar was badly crushed but not completely crushed, so he thinks another object may have exerted the force of the car as it passed.
Jason, from Bedford, said: “They smashed it and then delivered it anyway.
“Obviously it was given to my neighbor for a reason.
“The driver told our neighbors we weren’t there, but that doesn’t mean our house is unattended. Really annoying.
“Perhaps if I were a member of The Who, it would save me time and effort, but I don’t.”
The seller of the guitar agreed to send a replacement.
Athletic trainer Jason has also reached out to Hermes, who said they have apologized and offered him “a payment in good faith for the inconvenience caused”.
