Cyclist in critical condition after collision with car and bus

The cyclist reportedly hit a car door that swung open in front of her and was thrown into the side of a nearby school bus.

Officials say a woman suffered life-threatening injuries Friday morning when her bicycle collided with a car door and then crashed into a school bus.

According to Boston police, the accident occurred around 9:40 a.m. near 1200 Dorchester Avenue and Hancock Street.

The unidentified cyclist was riding her bike when a car door swung open in front of her. after to WBZ News. She reportedly hit the open door and was thrown into the side of a nearby school bus.

During the investigation, police closed the streets to traffic and instructed drivers to find an alternative route.

According to WBZ, there were no children on the bus at the time of the accident. No charges had been announced as of Friday evening.
