Cops ID teen wanted in NYC stabbing Saniyah Lawrence, 16

The 18-year-old man accused of fatally stabbing his girlfriend, 16-year-old, over the weekend in Harlem was identified Monday by the NYPD, who also released his photo, to try to apprehend him.

Zyaire Crumbley allegedly stabbed Saniyah Lawrence in the neck during a heated fight at an apartment on Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard near West 136th Street in Manhattan around 5:40 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Lawrence – who lived about 2 miles from the scene – was taken to Harlem Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, authorities said.

Police early Monday released an earlier mugshot of Crumbley, who can be seen blank-eyed and wearing a white shirt.

Authorities say he is 5ft 8 and weighs 140lbs, has a dark complexion, is of medium height and has short black hair.
