Conte replacement at Tottenham didn’t want to work with Nuno

Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold said Tottenham Hotspur manager Ryan Mason did not want to work under Nuno when he was manager of the north London club.
The well-known and respected journalist has said on his YouTube channel that Nuno wanted Mason to work with him when he was Tottenham’s head coach.
However, the 31-year-old declined the offer to work in the junior division.
Gold opened up about the former Tottenham midfielder and discussed how much current Spurs boss Antonio Conte likes him.
Mason, who has held the role of caretaker and manager at Tottenham, is reportedly a candidate to take charge of the first-team now should Conte be sacked.
Athletic journalist David Ornstein said this week that Mason “is very popular at Tottenham and there are people in the game who would like to see him given the opportunity” to manage Spurs.
The Times have reported that Tottenham are considering sacking Conte.
The former Chelsea manager’s contract with Spurs expires at the end of the season.
The Italian was exceptionally scolding as he pounded his Tottenham players last weekend and also appeared to be attacking the club’s hierarchy.

Gold said, “Nuno asked or wanted Mason to be on his team, and Mason said no at that point. He really didn’t want to. He wanted to stay with the youth team.”
