‘Come from nowhere’: O’Hara stunned by Tottenham Hotspur’s ‘quick’ player

TalkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara has raved about Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Micky van de Ven.

That’s what the former Tottenham Hotspur player said talkSPORT (6:19 p.m., September 2, 2023) that Micky van de Ven was a brilliant signing for Spurs.

O’Hara has been extremely impressed with the 22-year-old centre-back’s performance so far for Spurs.

The talkSPORT pundit gave his thoughts on Van de Ven after Tottenham’s away win over Burnley at Turf Moor in the Premier League on Saturday.

Van de Ven has made four Premier League appearances for Spurs this season.

The 22-year-old Dutchman has also played once in the EFL Cup.

The youngster joined Tottenham from Wolfsburg in the summer transfer window for a fee of £34.5million (Sky Sports).

O’Hara said: “Van de Ven, what a new signing he was. Comes out of nowhere, fast, good on the ball, balance with the left wing.”

We believe Micky van de Ven has done an excellent job for Tottenham Hotspur so far this season.

The defender has hit the ground running at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and seems to love the Premier League like a duck in water.

Of course, it’s still early days, but the signs are very promising indeed.

The Dutchman is good on the ball, makes the right decisions in defence, creates the right tackles at the right time and doesn’t panic under pressure.

We think Spurs have signed a jewel in Van de Ven.
