Collier County woman arrested in Kentucky for deadly September crash aboard US-41

The Florida Highway Patrol says a Collier County woman was arrested in Kentucky following an investigation into a fatal crash on board US-41 in September.

FPH said Monica Renee Arnsperger was traveling east on US-41 on September 26, 2021, when she crossed the middle line and collided with the front of a westbound car. Soldiers said a 10-year-old girl in the car was hit and died.

The soldiers said Arnsperger, and the three survivors of the other vehicle were seriously injured.

FHP said Arnsperger was arrested by law enforcement in Kentucky on Wednesday after FHP concluded its investigation into the crash.

She is facing DUI manslaughter, vehicle murder, serious bodily injury due to DUI, three counts of DUI property damage, and four counts of reckless driving/property damage produce.

She is being held at the Kenton County Detention Center in Kentucky while she awaits extradition back to Collier County.
