Coachella announces dates for 2023, with Frank Ocean as headliner

Coachella will return to the desert again in 2023.

The Instagrammable Musical Festival takes place on its usual weekends of April 15-17 and April 21-23 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

Frank Ocean was announced Tuesday as one of next year’s headliners. The “Lost” singer was slated to perform at the 2020 event, which was eventually scrapped that year and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Travis Scott withdrew from his 2021 headlining spot after 10 people were killed in a “mass casualty incident” at his own Astroworld performance on Nov. 5 in Houston, Texas.

Kayne West also jumped at his 2022 headlining opportunity, prompting the festival to recruit The Weeknd x Swedish House Mafia.

Billie Eilish and Harry Styles also acted as additional headliners this year.

Daily cases of COVID-19 in Riverside County rose more than 75 percent two weeks after tens of thousands of music fans flooded the area for 2022, according to NBC News.

Tickets for next year’s event go on sale Friday, June 17 at 1:00pm ET.
