WE ALL hate it when our favorite white bedding or bedding doesn’t look new anymore and it can feel impossible to make them look as good as new.
But thanks to TikTok and its never-ending supply of cleaning tips, one hack promises to make your whites sparkle again.
TikTok user Kate shared the hack on her account, my_plastic_free_home, which went viral with over 80k views.
Kate often shares eco-friendly hacks that work on her account, and this laundry was no different.
She says you only need this one product, sodium percarbonate, or as Kate likes to call it ‘natural bleach’ to keep her skin glowing.
Sodium percarbonate is slightly different from sodium bicarbonate because it contains hydrogen peroxide, a natural bleaching agent.
First, Kate poured her dirty whites into a sink and added 60 grams of sodium percarbonate.
She then poured over five liters of boiling hot water and let them soak for a few hours before rinsing them on a rinse cycle in the washing machine.
Kate also says you can add 30 grams of sodium percarbonate to your white wash cycle for faster results.
For best results, Kate recommends leaving them out in the sun.
She also says it can be used for many things around the house like limescale remover, toilet cleaner, stain remover from hard-to-burn cups and pans.
