Claire Foy: The Crown star addresses Nicki Minaj’s “ridiculous cameo reaction in Season 5

Claire Foy has responded to Nicki Minaj’s extremely enthusiastic reaction to her cameo The crown.

The British actor made a surprise appearance in the fifth and penultimate run, which released on Netflix last month.

Those tuning in to see what new cast member Imelda Staunton would bring to the role of Queen Elizabeth II were immediately met with comparison in the form of Foy, who played the character for the first two seasons.

Foy garnered recognition and two Emmy Awards for her performance – and her guest appearance in season five garnered widespread critical acclaim on social media.

One appreciative viewer was rapper Minaj, who said of her performance, “I can’t get enough of Claire Foy’s perfect face. i want to eat it It just does the right thing in every single scene.”

Foy appeared The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (November 30), where the host read Minaj’s words to the actor.

“Fans of The crown was very excited because you had a cameo,” Fallon said.

“You came back and made us a little happy. But I don’t think anyone was more excited than… do you know who your biggest fan is? Nicky Minaj.”

Foy called the situation “ridiculous,” and after Fallon read her the quote, the actor replied, “I would totally allow her to eat my face.”

The actor added: “She could try. I mean, she might gnaw at it a bit.”

Following the release of The Crown’s fifth season, many admitted to “struggling” with casting two different cast members – one over their “hotness” and the other over a previous role they played in Harry Potter.

Meanwhile, the season five scene that infuriated Dame Judi Dench has been revealed.

Next up will be Foy women talk, a Sarah Polley-directed film starring Rooney Mara and Jessie Buckley. The film will be released in the UK on February 10, 2023. Claire Foy: The Crown star addresses Nicki Minaj’s “ridiculous cameo reaction in Season 5
