China’s Cyberspace Administration fines Sina Weibo operator 3 million yuan

SHANGHAI (Reuters) – China’s cyber regulator on Monday said it had fined Sina Weibo operator 3 million yuan ($470,000) for alleging that the Chinese social media platform has repeatedly posted and transmitted illegal information.

The Cyberspace Administration of China made the announcement on its official WeChat account.
