That must get stuck in her throat.
The wife of a former FBI agent arrested this week for allegedly helping a Russian oligarch has something in common with Hunter Biden – her daughters, who play lacrosse, reveal data stored on the first son’s infamous laptop .
Pamela McGonigal and Biden both received at least 29 emails related to the Next Level Lacrosse program and other activities related to the sport from October 7, 2014 to May 7, 2015, according to a search of First Son’s News.
Two of Biden’s daughters with his first wife, Kathleen Buhle — Finnegan and Maisy Biden — were midfielders on the varsity lacrosse team at the exclusive Sidwell Friends private school in Washington, DC, according to online records.
Older sister Finnegan was even named an All-League Lacrosse Player for the Spring 2017 season by the Independent School League, the school announced at the time.
It’s unclear where Pamela and Charles “Charlie” McGonigal’s daughter, Sarah, went to school or if she played school sports.
Pamela McGonigal didn’t respond to an email from The Post for comment and blew her stack while carrying two small dogs outside the couple’s Greenwich Village home on Wednesday.
“There is no comment and no connection,” she angrily told a reporter after yelling at a photographer to “put the camera down.”
“We made it clear that we have nothing to say,” she said.
The emails connecting McGonigal and Hunter Biden through their daughters’ lacrosse activities were first reported by far-right research group Marco Polo USA.
Charles McGonigal – who is accused of accepting illegal payments from a Russian oligarch and a former Albanian spy – is also linked to Biden through the FBI investigation into Chi Ping Patrick Ho, who was arrested by agents at JFK Airport on November 18, 2017 would.
At the time, McGonigal was the special agent in charge of the New York Field Office’s counterintelligence division, and court records show that some evidence against Ho “came from electronic surveillance and physical searches pursuant to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.”
It is unclear what role, if any, McGonigal played in obtaining this evidence.
Ho’s bankruptcy came just weeks after he and Biden struck a $1 million deal for Biden to “provide advice on matters related to US law and advice related to the hiring and legal analysis of US law firms or -lawyers,” as first reported by The Post in October 2020.
Shortly after Ho was arrested, court documents show, he called Biden’s uncle James Biden, who told the New York Times in 2018 he believed Ho was trying to reach his nephew and gave Hunter Biden’s contact information.
Ho was found guilty of bribing top officials in Chad and Uganda on behalf of CEFC China Energy Co. and was deported to Hong Kong in June 2020 after serving a three-year sentence.
McGonigal faces charges in both Manhattan federal court, where he was released on bail after pleading not guilty Monday, and Washington DC federal court, where he appeared practically from his defense team’s office in Midtown Manhattan.
Lead defense attorney Seth Ducharme, a former acting US attorney from Brooklyn, pleaded not guilty on behalf of his client and said during the trial that he was keen to see the evidence in the case because the indictment contained “some unusual facts.” .
Ducharme didn’t elaborate on that remark, but said Monday, “We have great faith in Mr. McGonigal.”
Ducharme did not return an email Wednesday seeking comment on the emails to Pamela McGonigal and the Ho investigation.
