Instead of offering another sincere apology and discussing how the Chicago Blackhawks are committed to making sure what happened to Kyle Beach never happens againWirtz criticized not one, but two reporters for asking a legitimate question.
All that Athletic’s Mark Lazerus and Chicago Tribune’s Phillip Thompson asked at Chicago Blackhawks town hall what the team would do to empower future players if a situation like what happened to Kyle Beach happen again.
Wirtz threw a fury of epic proportions…
Imagine the answer Wirtz would give if he was asked if he knew what happened to Beach.
Wirtz later issued an apology for his childish outburst.
His apology was given as generic and did not acknowledge Kyle Beach. It seems like he’s trying to work out the public relations nightmare he’s created rather than actually apologizing.
Wirtz personally apologized to Thompson and Lazerus – in a forwarded email.
Rocky couldn’t take the time to find the press box or ask them to drop by his box to issue a direct apology.
For the record, this is not an individual number supplier of Lazerus or Thompson. They were just doing their job, and they did well. It’s a fair question as many Blackhawks fans struggle with whether or not to support this team.
In addition, Rocky Wirtz has the opportunity not to ignore sexual abuse victims. . Instead, he threw about 400 gallons of gas onto the burning pile and lit a match.
The fire is about to get hotter and hotter as more potential lawsuits arise around the conduct of the former video coordinator, Brad Aldrich.
