BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Chesapeake Shakespeare Company are returning to their usual production schedule for the first time since the pandemic.
Like many other institutions, the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company closed its doors in March 2020 to comply with the COVID-19 lockdown.
Now, after their “A Christmas Carol” performance in December, their first indoor performance in 20 months, the company has revealed their upcoming 2022 schedule.
The schedule revealed the February production of “A Raisin in the Sun,” the spring production of “Henry V,” and the summer “Shakespeare Under The Stars” performance of “Many Ado About Nothing.”
In addition to these performances, students will be invited to watch live performances of “A Raisin in the Sun” and “Romeo and Juliet” as part of the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company School Matinee program.
Before the outbreak of COVID, those who wanted to see a performance had to provide proof of vaccination to enter the theater.
In addition, attendees must wear a mask while inside the theater, including when they are sitting.
