Tuchel: We only need jerseys and a bus

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel insists his squad will continue to give it their all “as long as we have enough shirts and a bus to go to the games”.

The Blues face at least financial cuts and potentially far worse if club owner Roman Abramovich fails to sell quickly.

The Russian oligarch’s assets, including Chelsea’s, were frozen during the invasion of Ukraine due to ties to his country’s leader, Vladimir Putin.

And after tonight’s 3-1 Prem win at Norwich, Tuchel said: ‘Let’s see if it stays that way. If so, I don’t know.

“We take it every day. I didn’t see that coming yesterday and I don’t know what tomorrow will bring.

“Everyone can be very sure that we are focused on maintaining the attitude and mentality on the training ground and in the team.

“So far we can trust each other and that will not change.

“As long as we have enough shirts and a bus to go to the games, we will be there and we will play hard.”
