Chelsea fans wave Roman Abramovich’s flag at Stamford Bridge after Russia was sanctioned over Putin ties

CHELSEA fans proudly displayed a banner in support of Roman Abramovich after the billionaire was sanctioned by the UK government.

the Oligarch was sanctioned because of his close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who ordered the invasion of Ukraine.

Chelsea is now Ticket sale not possible to games, with only season ticket holders being able to play games at Stamford Bridge.

Abramovich is also banned from selling the club or player as the Russian is unable to make any money from the club with his frozen assets.

The blues are may not flog club goods either, with only the sale of food and drink being permitted in the stadium.

With the club in disarray, fans have shown their support for Abramovich who took over the club in 2003.
