Atlas believes the Mexican is taking a risk by facing Bivol afterwards Unification of the middleweight belts by defeating Caleb Plant.

But Atlas also suggested Alvarez is no longer smaller than his Russian opponent and pointed to his bloat be unnatural.

Atlas continued THE FIGHT: “This is a guy who started out at junior middleweight and went all the way up.

“Junior middle, middle, light heavyweight, back to middle, and I can’t see him going back from light heavyweight because he’s not close to that man anymore.

“Whether it’s through the natural or unnatural things, listen, I don’t know (if) it’s from eating those burgers in that Mexican place over there.

“Maybe the whoppers they serve over there that have a special sauce? I dont know.

“Listen, people get mad at me, but there’s some truth to it. We know he tested positive for the stuff you shouldn’t put in your veins and hit someone.

“I don’t know, maybe it was just a great strength program lifting weights, maybe that’s all.”

Atlas speculation about Alvarez’s training program could be motivated by the fact of the world champion tested positive for the banned chemical substance Clenbuterol ahead of his rematch with Gennady Golovkin.

Alvarez claimed the substance was in his system after eating contaminated meat, which his promoters claim has “affected dozens of athletes in Mexico in recent years.”

Regardless, Atlas is confident that Alvarez now has the weight advantage over his Russian opponent despite moving up a weight class.

He added: “Whatever it is, he’s not the smaller guy anymore. So stop that ‘he went up to light heavyweight and beat a light heavyweight’.

“He’s a light heavyweight, he’s rightfully bigger than the light heavyweights now, he’s stronger.

“He’s fatter, just look at him. So he’s the bigger, stronger guy in there with a naturally bigger guy who was born to be bigger. He is taller.

“This is the first fight for me, for Canelo since his second fight with GGG, that I actually believe there is a legitimate chance his opponent can win – the first.”
