Camp Bestival has confirmed it will return to Lulworth Castle on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast in 2022, as well as announcing a twin festival for this year’s edition.
Along with its usual Dorset Home pageCamp Bestival will also operate in Shropshire’s Weston Park, which was once the site of the now defunct Festival V.
Here’s everything you need to know about it.
When does Camp Bestival take place?
Camp Bestival has confirmed that it will return to its normal home of Lulworth Castle from Thursday 28 July to Sunday 31 July 2022.
Although Camp Bestival is hosting its second twin festival, it won’t be happening on the same weekend.
Weston Park Festival dates are Thursday, August 18 to Sunday, August 21, 2022.
Who is playing?
The two-week festival lineup changed slightly, although much of the same repertoire remained.
In Dorset, topping the weekend’s music were baritone troubadour Rag’n’Bone Man, sub-surf surfer Rudimental, and disco trio featuring Sister Sledge, Kool and The Gang, and Earth, Wind & Fire Experience featuring Al McKay.
There’s even more music, including Razorlight, Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s Kitchen Disco, Example, Shed Seven, Jo Whiley’s 90 Anthems, Faithless (DJ Set), The Proclaimers and Charlotte Church’s Late Night Pop Dungeon.
In Shropshire, Fatboy Slim heads an orchestra of countless songs including Rag’n’Bone Man and the chic Becky Hill canteuse as headliner.
More tracks over the weekend featuring support from Example, Sara Cox, Mae Muller, Shed Seven, Faithless (DJ Set), Scouting For Girls, The Proclaimers and Heather Small, and many more.
