California mansion with Claude Monet-inspired gardens is asking for $35 million

Home is where the heart is – and that’s where the art is.
A sprawling Californian estate with idyllic gardens inspired by Claude Monet has hit the market for $35 million.
Known as Villa Nafissa, the Rancho Santa Fe estate stands on a whopping 39 hectares of manicured gardens modeled after Monet’s famous Gardens at Giverny – his real green space in France that inspired his Impressionist masterpieces.
“Discover romantic pathways, a lake and waterfalls as you explore the stunning grounds, which is a horticultural oasis with over 3,000 species of plants, fruit and mature trees,” the listing reads.
The main house spans over 16,000 square feet and is built with European craftsmanship. It consists of seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms and features a vaulted living room with cream marble floors. The rich stone textures are paired with expansive windows and doors throughout, the listing adds.
There is also a separate clubhouse with a double sided fireplace, commercial kitchen, dining area, media room and office upstairs.

Elsewhere on the property are two separate guest houses totaling over 10,000 square feet with 10 en-suite bedrooms nestled in their own private settings and overlooking the pool.
Outdoor amenities include the waterfall feature pool and hidden spa, tennis and basketball courts, children’s playground, jogging track, and yoga and meditation garden. The gardens provide fruit and vegetables – and maybe inspiration for your next painting.
In addition, the property is intended for up to 50 horses.
Monica Sylvester with Willis Allen Real Estate holding the listing.
“The stunning gardens of the Villa Nafissa– a spectacular bespoke estate – was inspired by a love of Monet’s gardens and artwork,” Sylvester told The Post. “While the inspiration itself is a cherished family secret, there is no denying that this Claude Monet-inspired garden is truly a work of art in its own right, capturing the romance and beauty of the property.”
“The dedicated organic garden blends rural splendor with the comforts of down-to-earth living, providing daily farm-to-table food production.”
