California man pleads guilty to beating flight attendant

SAN DIEGO (AP) — A California woman who punched a flight attendant in the face and broke her tooth during a flight has pleaded guilty to federal charges. Prosecutors said Vyvianna Quinonez, 28, of Sacramento on Wednesday pleaded guilty to interfering with a flight attendant. Quinonez was on a Southwest Airlines flight from Sacramento to San Diego in May when a flight attendant asked her to fasten her seat belt, stomp tray table, and wear a mask properly during landing. Authorities said Quinonez punched the woman in the face and grabbed her by the hair before other passengers intervened. The flight attendant suffered three chipped teeth, bruises and a cut that needed stitches.
