Buffalo Police Department issues new carpooling guidelines for Outer Harbor

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – The Buffalo Police Department is issuing new ride-sharing guidelines for concert and event-goers in Buffalo’s Outer Harbor.

Ahead of Saturday’s concert by Canadian rock band The Arkells and K. Flay, the BPD announced a new location where carpool customers can request to meet their drivers. Police say passengers should be picked up at Ohio Street east of Route 5, where signs will be prominently displayed at designated ride-sharing areas.

According to the BPD, Ohio Street is accessible from Louisiana Street and the eastern portion of Route 5. Easy access to I-190 and city streets.

Police added that those driving to the outer harbor themselves will be asked to park in the free lots near the venue.
