Bronx man shot dead early Sunday morning: police

A 22-year-old man was shot dead on a Bronx street early Sunday, police said.

Police responded to a 911 call about 4:05 a.m. about a man being shot dead at the intersection of Boynton and Watson Avenues in the Soundview section, the NYPD said.

When officers arrived, they found the victim – identified as Joshtiers Mora of the Bronx – injured by a gunshot to the upper body.

Authorities took him to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead.

It’s not clear what sparked the shooting.

Police said no arrests have been made, although investigations are ongoing.
