Britney broke her silence on her divorce, hinting that things are going to be difficult after the two marry. While she didn’t reveal the exact reason behind the decision, the singer said she “couldn’t take the pain anymore.”

The “Oops I Did It Again” singer thanked all fans for sending her sweet messages while making their feelings clear. In the post, Britney admitted that while her Instagram looked strong, it was far from reality.

She wrote, “I’d love to share my feelings and tears about how I really feel, but for some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses.” The singer ended her post by saying, “You are meant to be loved unconditionally…not under Conditions.”

What did Hesam ‘Sam’ Asghari say?

Sam had announced the news of their divorce a day earlier, hinting that it was a joint decision to separate.

He wrote: “After six years of love and commitment to each other, my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will hold on to the love and respect we have for one another and I always wish her the best. Shit doesn’t happen. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous to me, so I ask everyone, including the media, to be kind and considerate.”

Rumors then circulated that Sam would take Britney to court to change their marriage. However, his spokesman denied these claims.

A look at their relationship

The two first met in 2016 while Sam was filming Britney’s slumber party video, and a year later the singer made their relationship official by posting their photo to Instagram.

The couple continued to share many photos of each other on social media, allowing fans to take a journey with them. In 2019 there were rumors of an engagement. However, the official engagement took place in 2021.

In 2022, Britney shared the sad news of a miscarriage and hopes to become a mother again. A few months later, the couple finally tied the knot.

On August 18, the couple split after dating for six years.
