British Prime Minister Boris Johnson reiterated his pledge to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. While speaking at the Conservative Friends of Israel meeting in London on Monday, he said Britain fully supports Israel and that he understands that Iran is seeking to destabilize the region.

And for peace the UK supports Israel’s right to defend itself without interference, even from hostile states like Iran.

Johnson’s comments come amid ongoing indirect negotiations between the Biden administration and the Ayatollah regime to restore the Obama-era nuclear deal. Israel says even a partial deal would help Iran create nuclear weapons and needs to stop.

Johnson continued: “We will continue to do everything we can to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, and as negotiations continue in Vienna, we hope that diplomacy can work. “But while the nuclear issue is the most pressing, Iran’s overall behavior must change. Attacks at sea, supporting terrorism, regional instability all form the same pattern.”

The British Prime Minister said the international community must put pressure on Iran to stop supporting terrorist groups, stop attacks on oil tankers and stop destabilizing the Middle East.
