‘Britain’s worst McDonald’s’ blamed on ‘cold’ burgers that tasted like ‘cardboard’ and staff ‘standing around talking’

MCDONALD’S has been called “the worst McDonald’s in the UK” by diners who claim the restaurant serves burgers that taste like cardboard.
The branch in Kingswinford, near Dudley, West Midlands, has only two stars on TripAdvisor after a string of bad reviews from disappointed customers.
Many disgruntled comments called out the bad experiences they’ve had at the classic fast food chain, from their bland food to their slow service.
Some reviews have accused staff of “chatting and standing around”, as well as being served cold meals on weekdays.
One reviewer said this branch was the worst McDonald’s in the West Midlands, telling customers that nearby Greggs was a much better choice for hungry customers.
They wrote: “Complaint to change the manager achieved nothing. Food quality is poor. Most of the reviews on this platform and others like just eat confirm this. Be warned!!! “
One person rated their burger to taste “like cardboard”.
Another wrote: “Horrible trash. Worst McDonald’s in the UK. Must be the worst McDonald’s in the UK!! Check out the reviews for not only here but eats etc!!!
“Order from here and you can almost guarantee missing dishes. I rarely get the exact order!! Food is greasy and most orders are cold. This is the rule here. no exception!!
“Last time ordering, the food was not packed well, so the order was everywhere in the bag. Along with the drink without a tight lid, the drinks were all on the food!!!
“Is this acceptable ???? For your paying customers ???? Why don’t the managers manage the staff there??? It’s clear that this McDonald’s has a serious problem with incorrect orders!!!
“Just look at the amazingly bad feedback!! It’s the most sloppy McDonald’s I’ve ever come across!!”
One even said the franchise could use a new manager: “Couldn’t control the staff, we were in there and after 5 minutes of arguing from behind. The whole branch needed a new managers and employees.”
Another was disappointed to find they couldn’t even eat their meal when they got home after an incredibly long wait: “Lined up for 35 minutes, asked for no cheese – the receipt said no cheese, burger box says cheese… guess what it’s there CHEESE.
“Got home and couldn’t eat because I had allergies. Called up and the manager put the phone down for me as soon as she dialed. I was on the phone with a problem.
“Never mind this branch. A complete waste of time.”
The branch has been rated five by the Food Standards Agency but was last inspected in October 2018.
McDonald’s press office says customer satisfaction is one of its top priorities, and that bad reviews are “a small percentage of the thousands of customers served each day.”
“If any customer has a complaint, we encourage them to speak to a member of the crew in the restaurant or contact our customer service team,” a spokesperson said.
