LONDON (Reuters) – Britain on Wednesday said Ukraine’s air defenses were having success against Russian jets, likely preventing Russia from controlling the airspace.
“Ukrainian air defenses appear to have had notable successes against Russia’s modern fighter jets, which likely prevented them from gaining any degree of control over the air,” the Defense Ministry intelligence update posted on Twitter said.
The British assessment also said that Russian forces had not made any significant breakthroughs in the fighting north-west of Kyiv.
