(Reuters) – British military intelligence said on Wednesday that Russian units, which had suffered heavy casualties in Ukraine, were forced to return home and to neighboring Belarus to reorganize and resupply.

“Such activities put further pressure on Russia’s already strained logistics and demonstrate the difficulties Russia is having in reorganizing its units in front areas inside Ukraine,” the UK MoD said.

Russia will likely continue to compensate for its reduced ground maneuverability with mass artillery and missile attacks, the ministry added.
