ORLANDO, Florida (WFLA) – The Orange County Sheriff’s Office released additional body camera photos and video related to its investigation into the death of comedian Bob Saget.
Bodycam video taken on January 9 showed MPs first knocking on the door of the wrong hotel room before realizing their mistake.
The video then shows the door to Saget’s hotel room ajar as the MPs enter.
Investigation photos showed the hotel room after Saget was removed from the site.
Photos of Saget’s bathroom suggest the comedian had showered before his death, judging by toiletries in the shower and a used towel in a bathtub.
A coroner determined that Saget had died from a head injury likely caused by a backward fall.
An OCSO report released last week said the cracks in Saget’s eye sockets and the bleeding around his brain may have been caused by him possibly hitting “something hard, covered by something soft.”
Photos showed the room’s carpeting and upholstered headboard, both listed as possible items of injury, free of blood. This was consistent with previous reports from MPs who said no blood was found at the scene.
Investigators said Saget was described by several people as outgoing and friendly before his death.
One of the last people to see Saget before his death, a car attendant at the Ritz Carlton, said the comedian spoke to him and took a picture with him.
The incident report said the valet told investigators that “he saw no evidence of slurred speech, balance problems, or anything else that concerned him.”
The report also said the injury that killed Saget left him stunned, and those around him noticed “confusion, imbalance and/or slurred speech.”
A judge granted a motion by Saget’s family temporarily prohibit the release photos, videos or other recordings related to the investigation of his death on the grounds that it would cause them irreparable harm.
