While the authorities previously believed that Saget die of a heart attack or stroke, TMZ reported on Wednesday that his cause of death was even more tragic.

Sources familiar with the matter revealed to the magazine that the late actor hit his head on something after he checked into the Ritz Carlton hotel in Orlando on January 9.

Authorities said it was not known what he hit, despite an obvious bruise on his head.

One theory is that the headboard led to the late comedian’s trauma.

Additionally, authorities believe Saget was not aware of the severity of the injury and went to sleep after it happened.

Sources revealed to the rumor outlet that the Full House star never woke up and died of a brain bleed in his sleep.

It was also reported that a toxicology report excluded drugs or alcohol as a cause of death.

The Sheriff’s Department and fire department responded to the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando around 4 p.m. after Saget was found in his room by hotel security.

He was declared dead at the scene but the circumstances of his death was not known at the time.

“Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes to an unresponsive man in a hotel room,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office tweeted.

“The man was identified as Robert Saget and pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.”

The actor and comedian has recently toured the country, visiting multiple locations in Florida.

He was performing in Jacksonville on Saturday night, staying until early Sunday morning.

Saget is known for playing Danny Tanner, the patriarch of the Tanner clan in Full House. He played opposite John Stamos and Dave Coulier.

His television daughters played Candace Cameron, naked Jodie Sweetin and twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen played little Michelle Tanner.

Many people remember Saget as the family-friendly father of three he portrayed on screen. In fact, he is known in the comedy world for being extremely funny.

His memorable Comedy Central shoot saw him shoot other iconic comics like Norm Macdonald, Gilbert Gottfried, Jon Lovitz, Jeff Ross and others.

Saget was also the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997, running concurrently with his time on Full House.

He reprized the iconic role for Netflix’s reboot, Fuller House, which ended in 2020 after running for four years.

His other roles include a recurring role on Entourage, where he plays a fictional version of himself. He’s also the narrator on How I Met Your Mother and the star of Raising Dad.

He started a podcast series called Here For You by Bob Saget and was a celebrity guest on The Hidden Singer show.


Several Saget’s Full House co-stars have released statements about the death of their TV chief.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen said they were “deeply saddened” by Saget’s passing.

“Bob was the most loving, kind and generous man. We are heartbroken that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side and guide us as lovingly as he always has,” they said.

“We are thinking of his daughters, wife and family and offer our condolences.”

John Stamos, who plays Uncle Jesse, tweeted: “I broke down. I’m gutting. I was completely shocked. I will never have another friend like him. I love you so much, Bobby. ”

“I don’t know what to say,” wrote Candace Cameron Bure, who played DJ Tanner. “I have no opinion. Bob is one of the best people I’ve ever known in my life. I loved him so much.”


Numerous celebrity and fan tributes were posted online almost immediately after the news of Saget’s death.

Comedian Nikki Glaser Written: “I’ll miss Bob Saget so much. He’s as kind as if he’s funny.”

Star Trek actors, George Takeisaid he was “deeply saddened” to learn of Saget’s “untimely” departure.

“Beloved by millions as America’s Dad, he was a regular in our living room, bringing us the funniest videos and countless belly laughs. Die too soon. , like so many of the purest souls.”

Bobby Lee Saget called “one of the nicest people in this business.”

“My heart is broken,” he added.


The Saget family has broken their silence following the actor and comedian’s shocking death.

“We are heartbroken to confirm that our beloved Bob has passed away,” the family said in a statement.

“He’s been everything to us and we want you to know how much he loves his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter.”

Saget’s family has asked for privacy at this time but invited fans to “join us in a tribute to the love and laughter Bob has brought to the world.”

He lives with his wife, Kelly Rizzo, and three daughters Lara, Aubrey and Jennifer from her first marriage to Sherri Kramer.
