Blue Jays SS Bo Bichette will be rehab with the bison starting Tuesday

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – Toronto Blue Jays star shortstop Bo Bichette will begin a rehab session with the Buffalo Bisons Tuesday night, the team said.

The 25-year-old is recovering from tendonitis in the right patella of his knee that has ruled him out of the Toronto squad since July 31.

In 106 games this season, Bichette hit .321 with 17 homers and 59 batted runs, earning him his second career All-Star nomination in July.

He played 56 games for the Bisons in 2019 before making his major league debut. According to multiple reports, if all goes well, he should return to the Toronto lineup this weekend.

The Bisons meet the Rochester Red Wings at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday at Sahlen Field and Wednesday at 1:05 p.m.
