Bills CB Tre’Davious White was forced off the field with an Achilles tendon injury

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White was sidelined with an Achilles tendon injury during Sunday’s game against the Dolphins, the team announced.

White suffered the non-contact injury in the third quarter while guarding Miami receiver Tyreek Hill. He was visibly upset and was surrounded by his teammates as he lay on the ground.

White was later ruled out for the rest of the game.

“He’s been through a lot,” Bills coach Sean McDermott said. “You see how hard he worked to get back. I know he is a man of faith and how strong he is. He will recover.”

McDermott did not comment on the severity of White’s injury and said testing was ongoing.

“He’s doing it for the right reasons, and to see that today … it’s a damn shame,” center Mitch Morse said. “This game means a lot to him and it means a lot to him to be a good teammate and be there for his teammates. Just keep him in your prayers.”
