Billie Eilish, Hans Zimmer Win in the music category – Billboard

“No Time to Die” from the film of the same name became the third James Bond song to win the Golden Globe for best original song on Sunday (January 9), taking it one step further. Hans Zimmer‘S Sand dunes (Warner Bros.) won the Globe for best original score. This is Zimmer’s third win in this category, following Lion King (1994) and Fighter (2000). He went on to win Oscars for Lion King, though his Fighter score lost the Oscar to the hand Tan Dun‘S Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

“No Time to Die” seems to be the lead winner of the Oscar for best original song. It won a Grammy Award in March 2021 for best song written for visual medium and an award for song-film from the Hollywood Media Music Awards on November 17.

Other nominations for the Globe for Best Original Score are French Dispatch (Photo of searchlight) – Alexandre Desplat, Encanto (Walt Disney Pictures) – Germaine Franco, The power of the dog (Netflix) – Jonny Greenwood, and Parallel mothers (Sony Pictures Classic) – Alberto Iglesias.

In related categories, Steven Spielberg’s new version belong to West story won the award for best motion picture, musical or comedy. Outside, Rachel Zegler won best actress in a musical or comedy for her role as Maria in that film, her feature film debut. Ariana Debose won the award for best supporting actress in a motion picture for her role as Anita. Rita Moreno won a Globe and an Academy Award for that role in the original 1961 classic.

Encanto won the award for best animated film. The background music zoom from number 7 to number 1 on the Billboard 200 this week. Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote all the songs on the album.
