Biden considers Europe trip over Ukraine invasion

According to a new report, President Biden is considering a trip to Europe in the coming weeks focused on the invasion of Ukraine.

Five sources familiar with the Discussions at the White House told NBC News that during the possible trip the President could visit Brussels, where NATO and the European Union are based.

The potential trip to Europe comes as Ukraine endures the 19th day of Russia’s devastating invasion, and comes on the tails of Vice President Kamala Harris’ own visit to the region.

Harris traveled to Poland and Romania to meet with the country’s respective leaders and reaffirm the Biden administration’s support for Ukraine and NATO.

During her visit, the vice president also spoke to US and Polish military personnel stationed in Warsaw — which is about 186 miles from the Ukrainian border.

Some employees who accompanied Harris on her trip stayed behind in Europe to help plan Biden’s possible trips, three outlet administrators said.

Earlier this month Foreign Minister Antony Blinken also made a trip to Poland to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart at the border.

“The whole world is behind Ukraine, just like I am here in Ukraine with my friend, my colleague,” said Blinken at the time.

Biden’s potential trip to Europe has yet to be completed, and the exact timing of that has not been announced.

The White House declined to confirm the possible trip to The Post on Monday. Biden considers Europe trip over Ukraine invasion
