President Joe Biden on Thursday in honor of the late Republican Senator Bob Dole of Kansas at a congressional memorial service like Dole lied in state at the United States Capitol.
“We are meeting here at the very heart of American democracy – the Capitol of the United States of America – to receive a hero of that democracy for the last time,” Biden said.
